Time to get a move on!

Having recently found I have Osteoarthritis, I am moving to continue a habit and stop seizing up, all while raising money for Arthritis UK.

So many (approximately 10 million people in the UK) live with arthritis, affecting their ability to work, study, care for family, move free from pain and live independently. But arthritis is still poorly understood and far too little is done.

That’s why Arthritis UK funds life-changing research, supports those affected and campaigns for change.

I know times are tough, but if you are able to spare a small amount - every penny helps.  Thanks

Made it!

Saturday 30th May
Thanks to everyone who took the time to donate and/or read my progress. I went in hard to begin with and achieved my steps.

I am resting up now though as had a full shoulder replacement on Wednesday so need to rest.

As soon as feel able will be back pounding the pavements and raising awareness of Arthritis again.

Thank you 🥰

Keep Moving

Monday 18th May
Hottest day so far and a little later walking! Put my Welsh t- shirt on today as everyone always assumes I am English or American.  Determined to keep moving!

Early morning walk

Marine Drive

Friday 15th May
An early morning walk along Marine Drive before it gets too hot!

Indian Adventures

Wednesday 13th May
Spending the rest of the month pounding the pavements of Mumbai.  It’s hottest time of year here before the monsoons.  Fortunately I am used of these streets and know where to find shade. I love getting some bone warming!

Walk the Wye

Sunday 10th May

Walk the Wye

Sunday 10th May
Huge walk today - 10 miles alongside the river Wye in Monmouthshire.  Absolutely shattered now.  Hoping my long soak in the bath will help me be ok tomorrow!

Out and About

Tuesday 5th May
Having had my grandson overnight, on his return to my daughter we decided to get some fresh air and steps in at a local beauty spot.  No doubt I’ll feel exhausted later as I find it incredibly difficult to pick him up on my right side due to bone on bone OA, but determined not to let that stop the cuddles.  For safety, I always ensure there’s someone else at home when he stays.

Sunday Saunter

Sunday 3rd May
Despite feeling stiff after tackling the garden yesterday, got a power walk in this morning.  Time for a soak in the tub!

Getting Started

Sunday 3rd May
Started off slowly as in my car most of Friday up and down to Gatwick!  Spent time tidying my garden before the rains yesterday.  So a fresh start today to loosen up my joints.
