Get Your Move On is a flexible, empowering challenge designed specifically for people living with arthritis and their friends and family.
Throughout April, you’ll commit to a personal weekly time target for movement to challenge and push yourself - whether that's walking, swimming, yoga, gardening, or any activity that works for your body and your lifestyle, all while raising money for Arthritis UK. Sign up as an individual or create a team of loved ones and work towards a collective goal.
Our time-focused approach means you can adapt your exercise to suit how you're feeling each day, completing your weekly goal when it works best for you.
This isn't just about fundraising - it's about building sustainable exercise habits that can help manage arthritis symptoms for the month and beyond, connecting with a supportive community of people who understand your journey, and accessing valuable information and resources.
As you work towards your personal movement goals, you'll also be raising vital funds for Arthritis UK to support our crucial research and support services.
Here's how it works

Choose how you'll move – You'll have three options to move when you regsiter. Walk, Swim or Other. Choose what works best for you with other being anything you want! If you'd like to commit to an hour yoga or gardening each day, choose other.

Set your time target – The beauty of this challenge is the weekly time target. Some days, you might be too tired or be in too much pain to exercise. The weekly target gives you the freedom to complete your challenge when it suits you. Use the calculator to figure our your daily, weekly and month time goals.

Join the Facebook group – Our Facebook community is an incredible place to meet other people taking on this challenge. Many will be living with arthritis so it's a place of support, motivation and friendship. Once you sign up, you'll get a link to join the group.

Start fundraising – Anything you can raise will make a huge difference to the work we do for people living with arthritis. There will be prizes for you wehn you reach certain milestones! Make sure to personalise your page, share it regularly and thank your donors.

Track your time – Even though you have a weekly target, best to keep it up to date each day. Manually or you can connect your exercise app like Strava or Apple Health.
