I'm fundraising for... Arthritis UK
To my family and friends, the running shoes are well and truly back on for my next challenge, something I’ve been itching to do for a long time!My Updates
July & August training notes…
Sunday 30th Aug Just because it’s been holiday season the running hasn’t stopped, if anything it’s ramped up! Some gorgeous shorter runs in Croatia whilst on holiday with the family, some parkruns out & about on weekends away (particular favourite was Llangollen with the husband) & the long runs when time has allowed! Treated myself to a nice little pick me up this week with a sports massage to ensure I’m feeling fresh & the last long 12 mile complete to end the month on a high! Share
May & June training notes…
Tuesday 7th JulMay’s Market Harborough half marathon was another hilly one, but learnt lots of lessons from last time out in Coventry, started slower, built the pace & left enough in the tank for a final push at the end.
June has been a bit more relaxed, slightly less mileage to recover, but still found some energy to run the Two Castles 10k (Warwick to Kenilworth) to work a bit more on speed.

April training notes…
Friday 1st MayHighlights have included a 5k under 30 minutes for the first time this year and the Coventry Half Marathon as a bit of a test to say where my race pace is currently! Hot, hilly & officially recorded as the longest half marathon with over 500m extra, safe to say I won’t be doing this one again! Despite difficult conditions I was really happy I could get back on pace on the flat & downhill stretches! Some relaxing swims, bike rides & shorter runs have been great for recovery post race!

March training notes…
Sunday 29th MarStarted March off with the Burghley 7, my first race of the year! Felt amazing to be back out there on a beautiful day, beautiful setting and with John popping up along the route to cheer me on! The rest of March has been about sticking to a training plan, working on some speed work and the longer runs when Sophie’s weekend gymnastics competitions have allowed! She has been my biggest inspiration this month, all her energy & enthusiasm doing something she loves has rubbed off on me!

February training notes…
Saturday 21st Feb Starting to up the miles this month, now my place in the GNR is official! 10 miles accomplished this morning at Brixworth Country Park (my favourite place to run), strong parkrun effort to start with, followed by a steady endurance. Trainers need a good clean, it was pretty muddy dodging the puddles! ShareThank you to my Sponsors
