🏃♀️ My London Marathon 2027 journey - running for Arthritis UKI still can’t quite believe I’m saying this… I’m running the London Marathon 2027 for Arthritis UK! 🏃♀️❤️
This is so much more than just a marathon for me. Arthritis is something I live with myself, so choosing Arthritis UK as my charity was incredibly personal.
I know first-hand that arthritis isn’t simply a bit of pain or stiffness. It can affect your mobility, your sleep, your independence and your ability to do the everyday things that most of us take for granted. It can change what you think your body is capable of.
And that’s why this challenge means so much to me.
A little while ago, I started Couch to 5K without ever imagining where it would take me. I went on to run a 10K, achieve a sub-30-minute 5K and now, somehow, I’ve committed to 26.2 miles around London! 😂
There will undoubtedly be days when I question my sanity, but every mile I run will have a purpose.
Arthritis UK is working towards a future where people with arthritis can live fuller, more active lives. They fund vital research into better treatments and pain management, while providing information, advice and support to people living with arthritis.
That work matters enormously to me.
So I’m asking for your support as I take on this huge challenge. Every donation, however big or small, will help Arthritis UK continue its work and will give me even more motivation to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
