Team Arthritis UK is made up of charity place runners and ballot place runners. Charity place runners are a big part of the team, and every year dedicate to raising an incredible amount towards a future free from arthritis. You’ll have a fundraising target of £600 but we will be here to support you every step of the way.

When you sign up you’ll pledge to raise a minimum of £600. Your support means we can continue to invest in world-class research, delivering high-quality services and campaigning on issues that matter the most to people with arthritis.

Is there a fundraising deadline?

We ask that all your incredible fundraising is donated by a month after the event, so that’s 18 May 2027.

What is an own place?

Each year, runners can access places directly from the Manchester Marathon organisers. If you buy a place directly from the organisers but would like to support a charity too, you can use your 'own place' to support the charity of your choice.

As you have already paid for your place with the organisers, signing up to join Team Arthritis UK with your own place is free.
