Brighton Marathon

I'm fundraising for...

Running the Brighton Marathon is deeply personal to me. My dad has rheumatoid arthritis — a painful, often invisible disease that affects every part of daily life. Despite this, he continues to show incredible resilience. Now in his 70s, he keeps moving, stays as active as he can and refuses to let the condition define him.

Watching him live with rheumatoid arthritis has given me a real understanding of how relentless and misunderstood it can be. It’s not just “aches and pains” — it’s chronic, it’s exhausting and it impacts both physical and mental wellbeing.

I want to run not only in his honour, but to raise awareness of rheumatoid arthritis as an invisible disease, and to support others living with it. Through this challenge, I hope to shine a light on what people like my dad go through, and contribute to better understanding, support and research.

Over 10 million adults, young people and children live with arthritis. And yet, arthritis is still poorly understood and far too little is done.
