I'm fundraising for...
This year, I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Arthritis UK, a charity that is very close to my heart.
My mum has lived with rheumatoid arthritis since I was young, so arthritis has been part of my family’s life for as long as I can remember. I’ve seen the pain, frustration and everyday challenges it can bring, and I know how much it can affect not just the person living with it, but those around them too.
I’ve also seen how much treatments have progressed over the years and the positive difference this has made to my mum’s life. That has shown me just how important continued research, support and investment are.
I’ve completed quite a few half marathons, so although the half marathon will be a challenge, my real motivation is to use the run to raise as much money as I can for a cause that means so much to me and my family.
If you’re able to donate, however much you can, I would be incredibly grateful. Your support will help Arthritis UK continue its work to improve the lives of people living with arthritis and give hope to families like mine.
Thank you for reading, donating and supporting me. It genuinely means a lot.

Thank you Alex for supporting a charity dear to my heart. Being diagnosed at 25 years old with rheumatoid arthritis was devastating and the outlook bleak. However, due to ongoing research on improved medication, I am now able to live a full and healthy life. Dad and I will be there to support you on the day. Good luck with your time!
